Types of participants...

7. What Is a Walk-On?

You can show up by yourself or with a group of a few friends without reserving. Just remember that you will be mixing in with the other players (which usually mean great games and BIG fun!). Minimum age is ten years old.

8. What is Low Impact/Peewee paintball?

Low Impact (.50 caliber) paintball is an updated form of the game designed to make paintball hits with reduced “sting” of being hit by an incoming paintball. This has been accomplished by reducing the size of the paintball used for play from .68 caliber, roughly the size of a gumball, to .50 caliber. This smaller, lighter projectile, fired from paintball guns at a lower speed, transmits less energy to the target it hits. Bottom line, if you were worried about trying the game of paintball, or allowing your child or spouse to try the game of paintball because you heard it might sting, Low Impact paintball is your answer! Paintball Command has Low Impact paintball walk-on days for younger and timid players. We also host pewee parties for groups. For the safety of our younger players, games are played om our open fields. Minimum age is 8 years old.

Regular (68 caliber) impacts: Kids ten years old come to play regular paintball and enjoy every minute of it, so it can’t be too bad. At worst, it feels like a towel pop but that usually goes away in seconds. Some say it feels like being popped with a rubber band. A closer range will slightly magnify the feeling. If you get shot at very close range (0-20 feet), it can leave a red welp and can sometimes be painful. That's why we enforce a 20' surrender rule. We use top quality paintballs which is carefully stored, rotated and temperature/humidity controlled. This means that you and all of the other players benefit from paintballs hurting less when being inevitably shot.

9. What constitutes (establishes) a Group for discounts?

When you have 10 or more players and book in advance.  The minimum number and age is stated on the particular group package when booking. Minimum age for paintball is 10 years old. Our Pee Wee group package for 8 years old and above. You can book your group for any number of participants over the minimum. Maximum limits vary.

That loss of deposit will be on a case by case decision.

18. What is your rain policy?

Rain is so hard to predict at times. There are many paintball safety factors to consider besides the threat of lightning. If we feel that rain is imminent and will be ongoing, we usually close the field. We contact all parties to communicate each others thoughts and to reschedule when necessary. Sometimes we give the option of taking the chance with us if the weather is too unpredictable.

IF you are already here and we have not discussed an option, here is our rain policy at the field: We play rain or shine as long as it is safe. If it becomes unsafe, we close for the day. If you have received less than one (1) hour of play time due to the rain, we will offer you a rain check for your field fee which will be good for your next visit. There is never a refund for paintballs purchased but they can be used on the following visit.

No. Paintball Command is a field-paint only facility. We want to ensure quality and safety. We use top quality paintballs which is carefully stored, rotated and temperature/humidity controlled.
